Creating Google Adsense minisites revenue review update
This post is an update on a previous post I made about one of my google adsense minisites that I created February 2009. I posted detailed information about it and asked for YOUR advice and would like to thank all of you that emailed your ideas and tips through. The income per month has gone from 16-18 USD a month to $47 for August. I need your advice again, keep reading.

Revenue to date
Feb: Nil – No advertising uploaded til March
March: $16.35
April: $17.94
May: $18.71
Total Revenue: = $53.00 usd
Cost of minisite to date:
Elance.com Writer for 13 articles. = $62 USD
My time = 1 hour for putting the minisite together using xsitepro web design software and applying adsense and then uploading.
Finding domain name = 1 hour – FREE (well sort off)
Profit to date: $-9 USD (good especially after only 3 months)
Estimated income for a year $18 a month = $216. Should reach $400 especially as its winter now and the website should get twice amount of traffic, before the summer wedding season in Dec – Feb.
Take away the elance writer fees $62 USD = $154..
$160 USD for two hours work so far. Thats for one year income only, the website will keep bringing money in year after year! So a great two hours of work done.
Now for the update, bring on 6th of September, 2009.
After receviving many emails from my readers on my previous post for the June reveiw of the minisite. I was made aware that the advertising was not through out the site evenly, some pages had none and there was room for more.
So I spent 30 minutes checking over the site add more adsense advertising where it was needed.
Here are the updated revenue for the site.
Total Revenue 2009.
March: $16.35
April: $17.94
May: $18.71
June 33.10 (After updating the site from feedback from first post on 15th of June)
Jul $48.73
August $47.77
Total income to date (6 months since launch): $182.60
So profit to date is 182.60 – $62(for articles written) - $13.50 (domain)= $107.10
$107 for the 6 months, if things keep going like they are. The profit will be $107 + (6 x $40) = $347
I am happy how the income from adsense has gone from 18 dollars a month to over $40 USD dollars a month!
$347 isn’t a bad for one year, the site took minimum time to set up. It also had a slow start for the first 3 months at 16-18 a month in revenue.
If I could keep it above $45 dollars every month then that would be $540 USD a year.
For me thats nearly $800 NZD I need to times that by 70 to make some okay money annually. $56000
The main point is its making profit and only took 4 months to ROI.
Another goal is to actually increase the advertising per month as the last two months the CTR is 3-3.46% which is very small. I feel it should be 20 % or over.
